This year I celebrated Good Friday and Easter at Christ the King Parish, Manela. Earlier it was the part of Vitla Parish however now its an independent Parish headed by Rev Fr Prakash Dsouza, a native of Panja(Puttur).
It was indeed a privilege to be here in this small Parish consisting 90+ families. I could see the intense involvement and participation of the faithful in the liturgical celebration. The passion on good friday was sung with due practice. 'The helpers of Mount Rosary' congregation sisters are serving in the parish. They too have a school.
This morning along with the Parish Priest Fr Prakash and Bro Lancy (a would-be deacon of Mangalore Diocese, a Native of this Parish) I visited the farm of the parish located some kilometres away.
Feeling happy and contented to celebrate my Easter in this Parish along with the hard working, simple and a joyful priest and parishioners.
