Gloomy Evening
Gloomy Evening
One gloomy evening she keeps
browsing their wedding album on her Facebook. Silent tears wet her iPhone 5’s
screen.
“Love is patient, love is
merciful....” the lines from the holy scriptures that were read out by the
pastor on their wedding day cross her mind.
She is the queen of this
little bungalow and has access to anything on this earth. But she longs for his
love, warmth and time.
On the evening passenger
train he is returning home after a heavy day’s work. Having gifted his wife a
comfortable life he proudly smiles at his achievement and assures his tired
body a hard drink and a good rest.
She is awake and busy
searching for those pages in the scripture only with a hope of consolation. His
snoring resound all corners.

random musings...
darker the night
brighter the stars...
O Lord,
do not let
my soul sink into
the darkness of foolishness.
lift it up,
shine it bright
with your wisdom and prudence.
a few are simple
to be proud,
but
there are many
'Proud-to-be-Simple' people.

A King ruled
his kingdom so well,
But,
A few lovers
ruled the hearts of his subject much better.

from Paulo Coelho"s Blog
Here I would like to present before u something that fascinated me
this evening regarding the concept of Beauty...As I went through the
blog of my Favorite Author Paulo Coelho I found these interesting
lines...
"People always say: ‘It’s inner beauty that matters, not outer beauty.’
Well, that’s not true.
If it were, why would flowers put so much energy into attracting bees?
And why would raindrops transform themselves into a rainbow when they encounter the sun?
Because nature longs for beauty, and is only satisfied when beauty can be exalted. outer beauty is inner beauty made visible, and it manifests itself in the light that flows from our eyes.
It doesn’t matter if a person is badly dressed or doesn’t conform to our idea of elegance, or isn’t even concerned about impressing other people.
The eyes are the mirror of the soul and reflect everything that seems to be hidden; and, like a mirror, they also reflect the person looking into them.
So if the person looking into someone’s eyes has a dark soul, he will see only his own ugliness.
Beauty is present in all creation, but the danger lies in the fact that, because we human beings are often cut off from the Divine Energy, we allow ourselves to be influenced by what other people think.
We deny our own beauty because others can’t or won’t recognize it.
Instead of accepting ourselves as we are, we try to imitate what we see around us. We try to be what other people think of as ‘pretty’ and, little by little, our soul fades, our will weakens, and all the potential we had to make the world a more beautiful place withers away."

CREATIVITY: A GIFT...
Painters paint, writers write,
composers compose, designers design……
Have we ever wondered why these people do anything
creative?
They do it (perhaps they may not realize it) to change
your life. I’m sure we all of us sometimes do the things when we see, hear, or
read something that touches our heart’s core. It is here that the chord that
fuels an intense emotion and something that immediately connects. Something new
takes its birth.
With everything we do, we are given new opportunity to
transform the mind of the other. We each one have the power within us to change
someone’s whole perspective on an issue or the life itself and this thought of
changing people to throw all their energy into their art.
CREATIVITY... …What is it???
It is an agony
that feeds one’s mental strength and yet those who possess it pray fervently to
their own Gods to never take this gift away from them.
Let us imagine …..
A writer who wakes up one fine day and finds that his
mind is barren and that he can no longer write feels that he is left with
nothing and life has come to a complete stand still. If an artist discovers
that he can’t paint or if a musician realizes that he has stopped hearing the melodies
that once flowed from his heart and mind he would find his life empty …like an
oyster without a pearl.
One of the
great authors of our times CARLOS G VaLLES says ‘creativity is a Goddess’. All
those who are slave of this Goddess toil not for fame and fortune, but for the
feeling of fulfillment they get out of the creation which is worth giving to the
world.
According to R. Tagore creativity is nothing but a
vision. Creative people see the things that no one else can see and which they
believe that can change the world.
In this process of creation a creator feels close to
God who is the supreme creator…. And rejoices over the power of imagination
that has received from his supreme master.
Yet creativity is a painful gift. It takes your
nourishment by gathering emotions that lie concealed in the depths of one’s
being. In other words it sucks you.
Creativity cannot grow in sunny weather. When one
weathers storm and draws strength from pain, only then does creativity sprout.
One cannot think of writing a poem on the life’s
struggle after having a grand dinner party. If he sits in the drawing room with
a pen and pad am sure he is gonna sleep within a few minutes.
One need to feel the struggle of life only then a
creative inspiration to write a poem on life’s struggle becomes successful.
Someone who is creative must have the courage to
decide who he is going to become.
What each artist strives for in his work is
perfection. Not just a display of talent but for the touch of that indefinable
something which we call real genius, that which’ll let others see the power of
their vision. They struggle to give each and every human the gift of
imagination although they know that life for them will be a struggle in terms
of friendship and other relationship.
Creative people are often scorned, appear as misfits
in several situations and they somehow realize that boon of creativity comes
with the boon of loneliness. Although they know that they will never be really understood,
creative people continue in their strife to explain their vision to others/the
world.
They are not just the philosophers, thinkers,
pioneers.. who give others the convictions to raise above the curse of
mediocrity, they are the slaves of all humanity who toil all their lives to
keep the flames of faith, hope and imagination alight in the world. They work
to show everyone that the people work to inspire you and me to strive for
flight. They work to change your life. Let us then stand up and salute these
great creative beings.
